We typically require 1 week notice to effectively and creatively write and produce a 30 or 60 second paid ad and 2 business days for roll call ad (15 seconds). This ensures we can correct any mistakes and get final approval from you before your ad goes to air.
Once a contract has been signed and payment is received in full, we are then authorized to schedule your ad (spot) according to the details outlined in your contract.

All rates are reflected on the Ad Rate Card is the standard rate all year round. These rates are already reduced to be soley resourceful to our clientele. The Ad Rate Grid demonstrates three periods where there will be a difference in rates. These periods are Class A (being the highest rate), Class B and Class C (lowest rate). CHRY Community Radio is committed to being accessible to local advertising. Ads played on-air cannot have copy that is: racist, sexist, homophobic, ageist or copy considered to malign religious beliefs, peoples with disabilities or the economically disadvantaged is unacceptable.
All advertisers, private corporations, fundraising for non-profit agencies maybe subjected to an inquiry to determine good corporate citizenship by the station’s officers. The criteria for good corporate citizenship may include: labor relations record, environmental record, employment equity practices, military interests, nuclear interests, foreign ownerships/operations/investments, alcohol and tobacco interests, and animal testing record. CHRY does not sell our airtime to businesses or special interest groups. Clients who purchase ads are not entitled to interviews or live read of event or service on-air.
All ticket giveaways are administered by office staff at CHRY 105.5FM. If you are interested in giving away a ticket on one of our radio programs, please contact the Ad/Sales Department at 416-736-5145 or send an email request to [email protected]. Ticket giveaways will not be used as a discount on your ad buy, these tickets are deemed as additional promotion for your event will cost you $50.00 per week of promotion. CHRY MUST have the actual tickets possession in order to complete the giveaway request. Ticket giveaway requests must be submitted one week before the actual giveaway date. When sending your request by email, please indicate: the radio show for the giveaway and the date of when the giveaway should occur. Clients who sponsor a segment are exempt from the service charge of $50.00.

Community Events must provide a service, resource or support to communities. These public events usually raise funds for a charity or offer free admission or endorse a worthy cause. The intent of these events is to be of benefit to the communities we serve. If you are a not-for-profit organization and would prefer ad spots in the CLASS A section to promote your community event, you can purchase a package that provides you to 10 spots (30 seconds) for $300.00.
CHRY 105.5 FM also provides co-sponsorship on community events or artist development who met the following criteria (insert link). Please submit your request to Program Director, [email protected] six weeks prior to the actual date of the event.
In terms of numbers, the average campus/community based radio station does not subscribe to BBM Canada for various reasons. However the figures to consider will direct you to our average which is a range of 40,000-100,000 listeners on any hour of our 24 hour broadcasting day.
