It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Roy B.A. Stewart.  Roy was a longstanding programmer, volunteer and contributor to CHRY.  In recent months Roy fell ill and on Saturday June 20th at 5:45 a.m. he passed away in the Etobicoke General Hospital.  CHRY Community Radio Inc. would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Roy’s immeasurable contributions to the station and convey condolences to his wife Pansy, family and friends.  Roy was family to us and he will be remembered for his commitment and love for all things CHRY, he was a principled and dedicated man who we won’t forget.

Roy often reminded us, during his meticulous preparation for his weekly program The New Wax Show, that his choice of songs were guided by two things:  Love and Education.
