Sandman Viper Command Live on CHRY 105.5 FM
Friday, August 13th at 1:00pm

These boys from Burlington may sound like members of the Cobra Organization, but they are anything but.  Their rigurous bootcamp consisted of riffling through their parents record collections, becoming enveloped in the music of Pavement and the fuzzy post-rock discography of Sonic Youth.  The four members (Rob Janson, Aaron Harvey, Dan Reardon, Matt Meyer) proceeded to lock themselves up for days in their parents' basements practicing and refining demos, emerging with a sound that blends  garage pop and guitar fuzz rock .  Their debut album, "Everybody See This" has received a lot of attention, and CHRY listeners will get a sample of their music and hear more of their story when they join us in studio for an intimate performance and interview.

Emma Louise and the Gentlemen LIVE on CHRY 105.5 FM
Wednesday, May 27 - 8:00-9:00pm

Emma Louise and the Gentlemen are not a Rock band. They have footings in Blues, Classical, and R&B, but they don’t fit snugly into any genre. The band Rolling Stones Magazine calls “who?” has only been together for a few months, and they already have a short repertoire of polished tracks that draw influence from classical to classic rock, ABBA to Zappa.
The future remains unwritten for the group, who are all working towards music degrees in their respective fields, but the way they see it, they’re not calling it quits as long as the good vibes remain, and the occasional fan club pops up in China.
