Spoken Word Programming on CHRY aims to serve
you and your community. In our news programming, we value local stories,
alternative viewpoints and creative self-expression. We want to air voices and
stories that are otherwise unheard in mainstream media. We do this through
specialty programs representing under serviced communities. You can count on us
to expose what happens around the corner- but also around the world with
coverage for events like International Women’s Day, Caribana, World Refugee
Day, Black History Month and more.
